Slip And Trip – The Most Common Accidents In The UK

The slippingand tripping accident is one of those common types of incidents that are mostly caused when something is spilled onto the floor that leaves it so slippery that a person may easily slip or trip from it. These accidents can also be caused if the paths are blocked, broken and badly maintained, contained potholes or if the carpets are not fitted properly onto the floor.  Such accidents can occur at any place whether a person is working in an office or walking in a public area. In all such cases, one must have to analyze whether it is the result of someone else’s negligence or the carelessness of himself/herself.




According to the Health and Safety Statistics (HSE) of the UK for the year 2010, slipping and tripping accidents in the place of work cost 40 workers their lives in the previous year and this has cost society an approximated amount of about £800 million each year.
